Who we are

There is a significant need for a community center in North Idaho. The region is rural, with minimal government or industrial support, and a population underserved for healthy lifestyles — particularly in the cooler seasons. We have a growing number of senior citizens, and children and teens with little to no access to safe spaces where they can stay active, build relationships and grow.

Ponderay Aquatic Center Endowment is a 501(c)(3) organization and endowment. PACE exists to be the financial arm for the community center. Funds donated to PACE are used exclusively for the construction, running and upkeep of the facility.

We believe an expertly administered non-municipal organization is the right mechanism to support the current and future needs of our community — one that is not a budget cycle away from closing the doors.

Mission

To make water activities accessible to all.

Vision

To provide our community with a safe, affordable, and inclusive space to cultivate a love of water activities.

The board

PACE is made up of members and volunteers who have successfully designed and completed several multi-million dollar projects across their professional careers. The board is unpaid.

Our architect

Concept design, floor plans and the site plan were produced by PBK Architects.

The evidence

We commissioned Ballard King to conduct a feasibility study based on our population. The results support the viability of, and the need for, a facility in our region.

Help us build it

PACE is a 501(c)(3). Gifts go to designing, building and running the community center — nothing else.
